Scout Groups do not exist without Leaders who supply their time and effort into running and operating a successful Scout Group. All our Leaders are volunteers.

From the minute an adult or a parent is interested in becoming a leader with the Baden Powell Scouts, we train them in the BP Scouting Programme. Some Groups have Scout Leaders who have been trainied in several sections, hold several outdoor certificates and simply offer their time to the Scouting programme for the joy it brings them watching youth develop and learn from our educational programme.

Many Scout Leaders were Scouts as a child and know the joy it brought to them, camping in the outdoors, travelling to other countries, meeting new friends and earning badges.

With the Baden Powell Scouts of Ireland there are several opportunities for Leaders to enjoy Scouting as much as youth.
